காயல்பட்டினம் சென்னை வழிகாட்டு மையம் - KCGC சார்பில் நடத்தப்பட்ட நேர்காணல்களை எதிர்கொள்வதெப்படி என்ற தலைப்பிலான கருத்தரங்கில், பல துறைகளைச் சார்ந்த காயல்பட்டினம் மாணவர்கள் திரளாகப் பங்கேற்றுள்ளனர்.

சென்னையில் வசிக்கின்ற - சென்னைக்கு வருகின்ற காயல்பட்டினம் நகர மக்களுக்கு கல்வி, மருத்துவம், வேலைவாய்ப்பு ஆகிய துறைகளில் தகுந்த வழிகாட்டுதலை அளித்திடும் பொருட்டு அண்மையில் துவக்கப்பட்ட அமைப்பு காயல்பட்டினம் - சென்னை வழிகாட்டு மையம் (KCGC).

அவ்வமைப்பின் வேலைவாய்ப்பு குழுவின் ஏற்பாட்டில் 26.01.2012 வியாழக்கிழமையன்று மாலை 04.30 மணியளவில், “நேர்காணல்களை எதிர்கொள்வது எப்படி? (INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES)” என்ற தலைப்பில் கருத்தரங்கம் நடத்தப்பட்டது.

இந்தியா முழுவதிலும் 10 அலுவலகங்களைக் கொண்ட – நாட்டின் பல முன்னணி நிறுவனங்களுக்கு பலதரப்பட்ட சேவைகளை வழங்கிவரும் Synergy Business Management Solutions என்ற நிறுவனத்தின் மூத்த நிர்வாகியான சக்கரவர்த்தி இக்கருத்தரங்கில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகக் கலந்துகொண்டு, நேர்காணலை சந்திப்பதற்கான நடைமுறைகளையும், வழிகாட்டுதல்களையும் உரையாக வழங்கினார்.

சிறப்பு விருந்தினருக்கு, குளம் இப்றாஹீம் சால்வை அணிவித்து கண்ணியப்படுத்தினார். பாளையம் சுலைமான் நிகழ்ச்சிகளை நெறிப்படுத்தினார். மருத்துவம், ஏரோனாட்டிக்கல் இன்ஜினீயரிங், எம்.பி.ஏ. உள்ளிட்ட பல துறைகளைச் சார்ந்த - காயல்பட்டினத்தைச் சார்ந்த 14 மாணவர்கள் இக்கருத்தரங்கில் பங்கேற்றனர். எம்.என்.அப்துல் காதிர் முத்துவாப்பா நன்றி கூறினார்.

அன்புள்ளம் கொண்ட KCGC நிர்வாகிகளே, தாங்கள் செய்துவரும் இந்த மேலான தொண்டுகள் நம் மக்களுக்கு பெரிதும் விழிப்புணர்வையும் தைரியத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தி வருகின்றன. அல்ஹம்துலில்லாஹ்.

என்னுடைய சிறிய வேண்டுகோள்:

இந்த மாதிரியோ அல்லது இன்னும் பல தலைப்புகளிலோ நமதூரில் கருத்தரங்கமோ அல்லது பயிற்ச்சி முகாம்களோ நடாத்தினால் நமதூரில் இருக்கும் மாணாக்கர்களுக்கு ஒரு பெரிய வழிகாட்டுதலாக இருக்கும். இது போன்ற பல விழிப்புணர்வு முகாம்கள் நமதூர் மாணவமணிகளுக்கு நடத்தப்பட்டால் தான் இன்றைய சூழலில் அவர்கள் போட்டி போட்டு முன்னேற முடியும்.

Its a good start & appreciate KCGC. Please tap the kayalite (job seekers) interests or try to identify their lacking area inorder to arrange for the appropriate trainings/session which really helps them.

As far as I/v concerned, there are no fixed answers for non technical questions. I've seen many candidates just vomit the standard answers which they get it from net or someone. They need to tweak the answer which suits to their profile, job applied and situation. I noticed some difference when we Indians interviews the candidate (say fellow indian). We would like to screw them up & create anxiousness to them instead of asking some Q's to find out their knowl/exp. It is not the case, if the interviewer is an American or other nationalites.

Many of our young graduated kayalites are simply struck in kayal after their degree since they dont know from where to start their job search or where to stay in cities & some of them are due to financial situations to meet up living expenses in Chennai/BLR. First of all, let us bring them out of the nest. That itself, is a big thing that we do to our next generation.

The potential probs which I've observed is lack of confidence, communication skills & finding difficulty or not guided in choosing the right career/Job. I can share some incidents.

One kayalite with M.Sc (CS) degree who is supposed to be in IT job got ended up into purchasing dept in some manuf. industry. When I asked the reason he told me that, he was less confident about pursuing IT job due to competitions/communications & never got a direction/guidance in the start up.

When I was working in Bangalore, I used to go to Primrose road where some 6 to 10 kayalites (job seekers) were staying. One guy initiated to have some Group discussion (GD) within themselves as a practice for interviews. Some of them walked out of the room or didnt shown up since they were shy and also less confident abt their commn. skills. Over the period of time, they decided themselves they are not fit for IT job and flew to Middle east.

Because of these issues, I personally think some of our kayalites lose their track & get into some job even though it is irrelevant/unsuitable. I would suggest to identify the college pass-outs first and guide them on jobs which they can pursue based on their degree/skills/interests etc. Then help them on improving communication skills which helps to tackle the I/v's & GD's & followed by something on aptitude as well. Finally, all about bringing the suceeded/employeed candidates to speak infront of the next batch to share their exp & tips.

I would never recommend organizing such kind of events in kayal since kayal is not the home for job seekers. They need to get out of it to find their bread & butter. Also feeding the students with these kind of info might be too early as well.

MANY, IF NOT THE MOST, OF THE STUDENTS DON'T READ NEWSPAPERS. NEWSPAPERS ARE WONDERFUL WINDOWS TO THE WORLD. GOOD PAPERS LIKE "THE HINDU"

1. INFORM YOU OF THE CURRENT AFFAIRS

2. SHAPE YOUR THINKING

3. IMPROVE LANGUAGE SKILLS

4. CARRY ADVTS & INFO RELATED TO HIGHER STUDIES, JOBS, INSTITUTES ETC.

STUDENTS DONT EVEN NEED TO SPEND ANY MONEY TO BUY THIS PAPER. YOUR COLLEGE LIBRARIES WILL HAVE IT. THE PUBLIC LIBRARY IN THE NEW BUS STAND HAS IT.

சில வருடங்களுக்கு முன் B.B.A. FINAL YEAR மாணவர் ஒருவர் எனக்கு போன் பண்ணி "எங்கு MBA படிக்கலாம்" என கேட்டார். பேசி கொண்டிரும்போது அவருக்கு CAT exam, IIM, BIM, XLRI பற்றி எதுவும் தெரியவில்லை. பேப்பர் படிக்கும் பழக்கம் உண்டா என கேட்டேன். அவர் சொன்ன பதில்: "நம்ம ஊருக்கு மொத்தம் 5 ஐந்து THE HINDU பேப்பர் மட்டும் தான் வருகிறது", AS IF THE HINDU & OTHER PAPERS HAVE A QUOTA FOR EVERY TOWN. TOLD HIM ABOUT THE ADITANAR COLLEGE LIBRARY & PUBLIC LIBRARY.

நமதூர் இக்ராவில் இன்ஷா அல்லாஹ் விரைவில் "COMPETITION SUCCESS REVIEW" MAGAZINE வரும். மாணவர்கள் அங்கு சென்று படித்தால் அவர்களுக்கு பிரயோஜனம். தற்போது "புதிய தலைமுறை" பத்திரிக்கை அங்கு வருகிறது.
