Non-resident is synonymous with "person resident outside India" i.e working abroad for indefinite period of time, like we do in Middle Eastern countries etc., AND AND he should not spend more than 181 days during his yearly vacation in India, in another word we can stay maximum 6 months in any given year.

Now that 6 months was reduced to 2 months i.e 59 days. And moral of the story is, IF you stay in India more than 2 months you are considred as resident of india , not as non-residents of India and so incoome Tax officer has right to storm our house
