What should be the length of the platform in a station to fully accommodate - a 15-coach train and
a 20-coach train?
(a) For the 15 coach train - 335 m
(b) For the 20 coach train - 446 m
[Administrator: According to an earlier reply given by the Southern Railway
(click here), two platforms of Seydunganallur and
Srivaikundam and one platform of Tiruchendur will be 405 m long, another platform of Tiruchendur will
be 340 m long and the platforms in all other stations (including that of Kayalpatnam) will be

Why are lengths of platforms at Seydunganallur and Srivaikundam stations 405 metres long and all other stations (except Tiruchendur and Tirunelveli) only 270 metres long?
Since the longest stopping train length at that particular station is only 126 m
