An interview with Mr.T.M.Ibrahim Thaha, a native of Kayalpatnam hailing from Magdoom Street, has scored 1157 out of 1200 in the HSC Examinations (2008). He did his twelfth in
Vidya Vikas Higher Secondary School, Varakooranpatti near Tiruchengode (Namakkal District)

Kayalpatnam.com>Congratulations on scoring 1157 in the HSC examinations. Where you expecting more marks?
Mr.T.M.Ibrahim Thaha>Alhamdulilah, I've been expecting around 1150, but by the Grace of God, I
have secured this mark. Certainly, God has shown mercy on me in my languages in which I was expecting
low marks.
Kayalpatnam.com>How did you prepare for your +2 exams this year?
Mr.T.M.Ibrahim Thaha>Honestly speaking, I worked hard very sincerely for 2 months before the
start of public examinations. During monthly exams, I wasn't quite satisfied with what I've prepared,
as I didn't find enough time to cover all the portions. At the time of half-yearly exams, I realised
that I've almost covered all my subjects. That motivated me to thorough those subjects again and again.
Right from my revision exams, I put all my efforts to get good marks which had reflected in my public
exam results. I was quite happy that I got centums in Maths and Biology.
Kayalpatnam.com>What role did your school and teachers play in your success?
Mr.T.M.Ibrahim Thaha>My school made me to aim high always. Our teachers are like our friends.
They not only taught us but also worked together with us for our success. In fact, last year's academic
performance of our school students made me think that I too can score high marks.
Kayalpatnam.com>Did you attend any special tuition for any subjects?
Mr.T.M.Ibrahim Thaha>No, I didn't attend any special tuition for any subject. Being
hostellers, we weren't allowed to attend any special training outside the school campus.
Moreover, all my teachers stayed in hostel - which helped us a lot - to clarify any doubt
regarding subjects.
Kayalpatnam.com>What was the role of your family and friends in your achievement?
Mr.T.M.Ibrahim Thaha>My family members were so much supportive to me. During my 11th standard,
I wasn't able to withstand my hostel life, as I was very much homesick. To be frank, I intended many times
to leave the school. At that time, my family didn't force me to continue. They simply asked me to take the
final decision. My friends too (who studied with me till 10th) didn't encourage me to leave that school
as they knew about the quality of our school. With such supportive family and friends, I decided to
continue my studies at the same school.
Kayalpatnam.com>How did you handle distractions like television, mobile phones, functions, picnics etc?
Mr.T.M.Ibrahim Thaha>As I was away from my home, I felt all alone. It made me to think that
there is nothing to fear when God is with me. So I was able to concentrate and focus on studies and
Islamic principles. Fortunately or unfortunately, we had no distractions like TV, Mobile etc
inside the hostel.
Kayalpatnam.com>What do you plan to do after +2?
Mr.T.M.Ibrahim Thaha>I have plannned to do MBBS (Insha Allah) and to serve to the
best of my ability, Insha Allah.
Kayalpatnam.com>Have you attended Meet the State Toppers event held in Kayalpatnam in the past? If yes, did you find it useful?
Mr.T.M.Ibrahim Thaha>I didn't get the chance to attend the programmes - since I was staying at my
school hostel. But I've heard about this program and visited your Website and came to know that your
program is really a booster for budding 10th and 12th Standard students.
Kayalpatnam.com>Are there any special people you would like to thank?
Mr.T.M.Ibrahim Thaha>First and foremost, all the credits go to the Creator, Allah. My father
was always encouraging and supporting me to achieve something. He insisted on me securing good marks.
He wanted me to become eligible for studying both medicine and engineering, which has come true now.
His words will keep ringing in my heart.
I would also like to thank my mother, my uncles Mr.S.A.T.Shahul Hameed, Mr.M.M.Buhary, Mr.S.N.Kader
and my cousin Mr.M.S. Seyed Ismail. They are the people who always encouraged me in my studies and
guided me in a right path for achievement in 12th standard. I would like to thank all my family
members, relatives, friends and once again Allah for making me one of the Kayal Toppers.
