We convene our General Body once in every 3 or 4 months. At the meeting, we consider all the applications

forwarded to our representative in Kayalpatnam. Our representative in Kayalpatnam verifies the
application carefully and forwards his recommendation to us. If the recommendation is positive, we
disburse the fund through our representative directly. Our representative then collects the acknowledgement

Haji A.L.S. Sulaiman Lebbai>

We also periodically monitor the marks they score in their exams. We also provide assistance to students pursuing
B.E. and B.Ed courses

KBM has been providing material help
(e) Marriage
There are many women who - following the death of either or both of their parents, live without the help
and security of the their relatives. Some of these women stay unmarried for a long-period of time and
in pain. To brighten the lives of these women, KBM has been providing marriage assistance.
We take every care to ensure such helps do not go to pay the dowry demands

Kayalpatnam.com>What according to you are the major problems facing Kayalpatnam - that require urgent attention?
Haji A.L.S. Sulaiman Lebbai>For past many years, we have been witnessing incidents of babies in the
womb of their mother to the old-aged person being afflicted with various diseases. This is an undeniable
fact. The tear-filled letters overseas Kayal organisations like ours receive are testimony to this.
Hence, taking this into consideration, a high-level medical experts committe must be formed and a
special medical screening and survey must be done in Kayalpatnam. To act on the basis of this report must
be the top-most priority for all of us
Kayalpatnam.com>Are there any special projects that Kahir Baithulmaal, Riyadh is planning to implement?
Haji A.L.S. Sulaiman Lebbai>
(a) KMT Hospital
We would take all the necessary effort - joining with all Kayal organisations - to
enable KMT Hospital acquire all the modern health care technologies. We would also strive to ensure
people of Kayalpatnam utilise the benefits of those facilities
(b) Interest-free Loan
In order to help not just the poor, but also the middle-class, KBM would strive to implement
Interest-free loan scheme in Kayalpatnam. Insha Allah, by this, we will eliminate the curse of
interest
Kayalpatnam.com>Are you satisfied with the way Kayal organisations - in India as well as overseas - are functioning?
Haji A.L.S. Sulaiman Lebbai>Kayal organisations that function overseas, in other cities as well as
from Kayalpatnam are doing commendable work. Still, Kayalpatnam-based organisations can take extra effort
to render services to people. Eventhough overseas organisations and organisations located in other
cities show great attention to render services to the people, being faraway and due to work constraints,
they are not able to do all that they want. Keeping this in mind, local Kayal organisations
must team-up and work for the welfare of the people.
For example, the cost of fish in Kayalpatnam has been very high for very long. The main reason for this
is sending the fish that is catched locally to outside market. This must not be allowed to continue
Kayalpatnam.com>There has been lot of talk in recent weeks - about bringing all overseas Kayal
organisations under one umbrella - to co-ordinate their works. What are your views on that?
Haji A.L.S. Sulaiman Lebbai>It is very obvious the objective of bringing all the Kayal organisations
under one umbrella is a very good one. We welcome that whole-heartedly.
There will be some practical impediments in bringing this about. Hence, it is very important the
members of various Kayal organisations meet and discuss this issue fully and decide on it.
Our views on this are as follows:
An office must be opened in Kayalpatnam. Atleast one full-time employee must be appointed and
he must be given proper salary. To run the office, a team of Executive and Advisory members
must be formed.
The staff manning this office must communicate effectively to all the member organisations. He must convey
immediately to all the organisations - the urgent requests for help from the poor and the needy in Kayalpatnam.
The office must have the recent and updated communication details (email, phone numbers) of all the
organisations. Member organisations must take care of the expenses that would be incurred in
running this office. It will be better if one organisation takes care of the expenses every 3 months.
In particular, local representatives of Overseas organisations must be part of the Executive Committee.
The people must have the option to send the request for help directly to the organisations as well as through
the local common office. We must not force the people to forward help requests through common office
only. After reviewing the functioning of this office, in 6 or 12 months time, if required, we can alter
the modality of the functioning
