An interview with Ms.M.I.Fathima Shahin, a native of Kayalpatnam hailing from Ambala Maraikar Street. She has scored 1168 out of 1200 in the HSC Examinations (2008). She did her twelfth in

Ms.M.I.Fathima Shahin>Thank you, Alhamdu lillah. Yeah, I expected more marks, but I have lost my marks in language (English). I thought that I would get above 190 in English. Any how, Alhamdulillah...
Kayalpatnam.com>How did you prepare for your +2 exams this year?
Ms.M.I.Fathima Shahin>My +2 classes were started on May 2007. I just prepared with my books and PTA book and no other guides. I devoted my maximum time for my studies. Repeated Revision and tests helped me very much.
Kayalpatnam.com>What role did your school and teachers play in your success?
Ms.M.I.Fathima Shahin>I should definitely thank my teachers and school, because the maximum role is their's. Our teachers made us understand the nook and corner of the subject. Our teachers were very friendly and helped us by clarifying all our doubts. They gave us repeated tests. They prepared Questions of their own. More than teaching, their coaching was helpful. Our school had a special time table for +2 students. They conducted many exams.

Ms.M.I.Fathima Shahin>No, I didn't attend any special tuition. Our school coaching is enough for us.
Kayalpatnam.com>What was the role of your family and friends in your achievement?
Ms.M.I.Fathima Shahin>My family supported me in everything. My parents devoted most things for my studies. The main thing is their encouragement. They won't discourage me if I get low marks. They supported me to get good marks. More than all the expectation of my family is the main reason for my marks. My friends were really very supporting.
Kayalpatnam.com>How did you handle distractions like television, mobile phones, functions, picnics etc?
Ms.M.I.Fathima Shahin>For the past one year, I sacrificed everything. If we want to achieve our goal, we have to give up something. If we concentrate only in studies and dream about our future, this distraction doesn't matter. I gave up these things just for a year to live my dream.

Ms.M.I.Fathima Shahin>I've planned to do Medicine, Insha Allah...
Kayalpatnam.com>Have you attended Meet the State Toppers event held in Kayalpatnam in the past? If yes, did you find it useful?
Ms.M.I.Fathima Shahin>No, I haven't. This is the first time I've attended this programme. It is very useful, since the state toppers share their study secrets.

Ms.M.I.Fathima Shahin>Yes, my grand parents, my family members and my great teachers, all next to Allah!
