Dr.Idrees>
DAMMAM KAYAL NARPANI MANDRAM was started in June 1994. It continues the works of KAYAL
NALA MANDRAM which was first founded in 1981. As everyone would recall the social calamity which
happened in our town in 1993, our KAYAL NARPANI MANDRAM emerged again as a social welfare
organisation (in that background)

Dr.Idrees>It covers the eastern province of Saudi Arabia (Dammam, Alkhobar, Jubail, Qatif
and Hofuf)
Kayalpatnam.com>How do you fund your activities? What is the annual membership fee?
Dr.Idrees>
The fund is raised through the monthly subscriptions of members. Fee ranges from 10 SR to 30 SR (Saudi
Riyals) [based on salaries of members, living with or without families etc]

Dr.Idrees>
President, Vice-President, General Secretary, Supervisor and Treasurer - as well as Executive Committee Members

Dr.Idrees>
General Body meets once in 3 months
Executive Committee meets once in 3 months (more when emergency arises)

Dr.Idrees>About 120 members

Dr.Idrees>Yes, definitely!

Dr.Idrees>
(a) As a part of our major project - "THE POVERTY ERADICATION HUNT", we have screened the lowest income
struggling group and distributed Sewing machines, Wet grinders, Tri-cycles etc [Small Scale
business program]
(b) Immediate attention is given for the life saving treatments of the needy medical, surgical cases
(c) Educational support for professional courses and master degrees

Dr.Idrees>Sometimes - when occasion demands

community?

Educating the poor section for industrial training - since job opportunities are bright in homeland and
abroad
Kayalpatnam.com>What is your opinion on various works being done by Kayalpatnam organizations based
in Kayalpatnam and overseas? Is it satisfactory?
Dr.Idrees>
We are really thrilled by the amazing steps taken by various Kayal Welfare Organisations to improve the
Educational Skills of Kayalites especially Iqra Educational Society. Hearty Congrats and thanks to
Iqra organisers!
Jeddah Kayal Narpani Mandram has drawn the attention of Saudi Kayalites since the new, young, energetic
executive group has done appreciable social welfare activities. Congrats to them also!
